Sam Avrett is a freelance consultant living in rural upstate New York supporting public health programs in strategy development, grant making, fundraising, advocacy and communications. Sam holds an MPH degree and prior to becoming a consultant was a co-founder and first executive director of AVAC and, before that, worked with Gay Men's Health Crisis, New York Blood Center's Project Achieve, and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative.
