I have recently seen a doctor concerning a blood test for high cholesterol. Other blood tests were done and he told me that my white blood cell counts are fine. I have never had unprotected sex, except unprotected oral sex about five months ago. My only other concern is that I masturbated a woman who was menstruating about nine months ago (I did not have any open cuts). Should I be concerned even if my doctor tells me that my white blood cells are fine?
A white blood cell count cannot tell you whether you have HIV or not, although sometimes it can be abnormal in ways that suggest HIV infection. If you're worried about HIV, go get an HIV blood test-- that's the only way you'll know for sure.
