They say that T cell counts fluctuate according to time of day, stress, etc...Is this true in HIV neg and HIV pos people? Is there a "normal range" for these fluctuations?
(ie., If my T cell count is 800, can it become 1000 when I am less stressed, or 600 when I am more, etc...)
Fluctuation in t cell counts is true in both HIV infected and HIV uninfected people. There is less data in the latter group and depends on lots of variables including time of day, assay used, age, gender, ethnicity, concomitant illnesses, recreational drug use, pregnancy, among others.
