Question
In 2011, i was diagnosed with syphillis and was treated with 2 shots. In 2017, I was asked why I was given a treatment because my results were nonreactive. Today, received a call about my RPR being reactive at 1:2 and my TPPA nonreactive, which was the same in 2017. Does this mean I have it, or I may have an autoimmune disease causing false positive? Please help
Answer
You don't provide any clinical context for these test results. I suggest you consult with an infectious disease doctor to determine if additional testing is indicated at this time.
