I was diagnosed with HSV 1 in October of this year. It has been so rough and confusing and emotional. I want to know what is the purpose of HSV. Besides causing blisters and reproducing to spread to others what is it gaining from being in a human host? What does it do to your well being? Is there symptoms that you may not see that hsv is doing to you? I'm not sure I worded this right but your response will let me know if I did. I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.
Thanks for your question,
If what you're asking is how can Herpes impact your overall health, the answer is Not that much.
Herpes can definitely be uncomfortable for some people if they have frequent outbreaks, but for the majority of people their outbreaks go unnoticed.
Herpes doesn't damage your body or system in anyway though. At most having sores could serve as entrypoints for other diseases to get inside your body, but that's more about the other disease.
Hope this helps!
