Question

I am currently dealing with HPV presented as oral warts. I have spoken with a dentist and my HIV doctor but nobody seams to have a clear way to address this problem. I am very self-conscious about them since two are near my lower lip and can be noticed while talking with people. I am finding that I have started avoiding social situation and prefer to stay home because of the embarrassment. Can you offer any suggestions on where I can turn to help resolve this problem?

Answer

Thanks for your post.

If you were my patient, I'd be consulting a dermatologist. There are at least a couple of therapeutic approaches, the first to use cyrotherapy (freezing), the other to use a medication like Aldara.

Best of luck, BY
