You have been a pillar of hope till now and your good luck karma has indeed been a blessing. 7 days ago, I tried anal sex for the first time with a working girl she-male. She used the Durex ultima extra thin condom with white creamy body lotion/moisturiser as lubricant [Johnson and Johnson body lotion I think] and inserted me anally for ten mins and ejaculated in the condom. The entire episode lasted ten mins maximum, about 10-20 thrusts. On withdrawal there were no obvious tears on the condom.
Dear Bob, what are my risks of acquiring HIV from using an oil based body lotion lubricant? how many cases have been reported of protected anal receptive sex acquisition and oil lubrication with intact condom?
look forward to your thoughts, I am otherwise asymptomatic 7 days post exposure
An ignorant and very guilty medic, really grateful for your thoughts, have donated before and will donate again....
Body lotion (including some by Johnson and Johnson) can be oil-based products, which are not compatible with latex condoms(causes denaturing). That the condom did not break is a good sign. There are no epidemiological statistics to quantify cases of improperly used condoms/lubricants. If you remain concerned, get a single HIV test at the three-month mark.
Thanks for your donation to The Robert James Frascino AIDS Foundation (www.concertedeffort.org). It's warmly appreciated. More good-luck karma coming your way. As for being "ignorant and very guilty," there is not much I can do about your guilt, but there really is no excuse for ignorance about HIV prevention. Review the information in the archives of this forum for a start, OK?
