I inject meth and have small lump like things from my injection spot to my neck or shoulders.presssure in my head and headaches.is this from a missed shot and where does the fluid go if so?
Thanks for writing. It is not unusual to occasionally miss when injecting drugs but this is not a situation to be considered lightly.
It is important to initially apply warm compresses and slight pressure to the area, doing so for up to 24 hours. Any meth that didn't get into your bloodstream should be absorbed in about a day.
The wound site should be carefully monitored for increased warmth or heat, redness and swelling. These symptoms can develop quickly and the indicate an infection that can rapidly become extremely dangerous. If this occurs it is necessary to get medical attention immediately. Many users are reluctant to go to an emergency room or their doctor and have to admit injecting drugs. However, the potential life-threatening risk of this infection requires immediate medical intervention.
There are some other guidelines for meth injection (besides sterile equipment and procedures learn more here). Don't skin-pop (inject under the skin) or shoot meth IM (intramuscular injection) because, unlike opiates, meth has additives that result in very slow reabsorption in the tissue.
If you are ingesting meth in any form I strongly recommend getting clean. Meth will create physical and emotional harm in your life. There is help available at Narcotics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous, or SMART Recovery.

All the best,
