HIV + and Gym

I have read before that HIV + persons should do light training in the gym. Is this true and why?

Answer

Moderate exercise is good for everyone, with or without HIV. The rationale for exercise is that it conditions your cardiovascular and respiratory systems, it is helpful to dispel moderate anxiety, it helps you sleep better at night, it improves your appetite and energy levels, and probably has many more benefits that we don't fully understand yet.
