Question
Hey Dr, I'm hiv positive gay male on atripla with decent cd4 around 700 and undetectable viral load. I hooked up with someone..we Only kissed each other... I received oral sex from him for 4 minutes maybe but i didn't ejaculate in his mouth...i rubbed my penis to his penis for one minute maybe ...he tried to stimulate my penis by his hands but i stopped everything and left him. I regret doing this because I'm very afraid to catch anything else besides hiv. I'm not immune to hepatitis B because I'm not responding to vaccine. What is my risk of Superinfection of another type or strain of HIv or catching hepatitis B or Hepatitis C or Syphilis or Any STd from this encounter? I'm afraid my penis has any small cuts or he has bleeding gums although I didn't see any visible blood.. I'm very concerned especially about hepatitis B. Also i read that Truvada which is in atripla may protect susceptible people against hepatitis B acting as Prep? Is this true? I'm lost and feeling guilty and waiting will kill me to test. Thanks in advance.
Answer
I would not be concerned about HBV infection in the situation you describe.
