HCV, Lymphnodes, and virus infections

Question

Can Hepatitis C, or a virus infection cause ones lymphnode, armpit area, to get infected. If so, would this reaction be the result of an acute infection, or chronic infection? Or could either cause this infected reaction to a lymphnode?

Answer

Many acute (new) viral and some bacterial infections can cause lymph node swelling. Chronic hepatitis C is not usually associated with swollen lymph nodes.
