Hello dr Pierone!
Would you please let me know who are the best doctors/surgeons around the world for PMMA removal? Do you do removal?
I have been overfilled with pmma. My cheeks look whey too big, puffed and asymmetrical.
It's so frustrating and it's causing such a negative effect on my life. As I'm a lean guy, having big cheeks makes my face look not proportional to my body. And having one side bigger than the other is just making me look like a freak. I really want to remove the PMMA out of my face, and fix this look, I just want to look like I did before.
I've been looking like this for two years. Luckily I don't have any complications/ inflammations.
I've had Triancil (corticosteroid) injected on the bigger cheek in an attempt to reduce it's size, but all it did was change the color of the skin a little, it became clearer and it looks a little more natural cause it doesn't shine as much when I smile. But it didn't reduce the size at all.
It's been injected subctuniously.
PLEASE let me know who are the surgeons that can help me!!
Hello and thanks for posting.
I am sorry to hear about your experience with PMMA and being overfilled. The first step to reduce volume from PMMA injection would be a series of injections with triamcinolone and 5FU. This combination is usually sufficient to reduce the volume enough to avoid surgery. Another non-surgical approach to reduce PMMA volume is the use of Ultherapy micro-focused targeted ultrasound.
If this does not work, then there are some surgeons who have experience with removal of facial fillers. One that comes to mind in Florida is Dr. John Martin from Miami. He has experience removing a variety of facial fillers. https://johnmartinmd.com/
