Delayed seroconversion: please answer

Question

A renewed thank you for the personal time and commitment you expend in answering Qs through the forum.

In a high-risk exposure to HIV and HBV and/or HCV simultaneously (with no previous infection), can you please reconfirm the potential for delayed HIV seroconversion.

At a 6 month window, i've now tested negative for HIV (3rd gen Elisa) and also negative for HBsA and Hep C antibodies. Is there any chance whatsoever that these tests could turn positive beyond the 6 month window?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer

No you are all set - no worries for delayed seroconversion unless you already manifested evidence of acute HCV infection already. You are in the clear!
