The 3rd Annual Visual AIDS Vanguard Awards Spring Benefit

Strike II: The 3rd Annual Visual AIDS Vanguard AwardsThe numbers are in and STRIKE II, the third annual Visual AIDS Vanguard Award ceremony and spring benefit broke records in fundraising, attendance and artists' participation! A resounding success on all fronts, we raised over $68,000, which will directly support our ongoing work utilizing the visual arts to keep an emphasis on the AIDS pandemic, as well as offer direct services to artists living with HIV/AIDS.

Visual AIDS Strike! benefitThis year, Visual AIDS was thrilled to recognized artists Yoko Ono (who received the Visual AIDS Vanguard Award) and Tony Feher (who received the Bill Olander Visual AIDS Vanguard Award). Both artists and AIDS activists in their own right, they were the perfect recipients for the awards due to their commitment to HIV/AIDS advocacy, education, prevention, and their support of artists with HIV/AIDS.
