Postcards From the Edge
A Benefit for Visual AIDS

The 11th Annual Postcards From the Edge: A Benefit for Visual AIDSVolunteers

Postcards From the Edge is produced every year with help from volunteers who process the artwork, install the exhibition, and work during the event. If you can help with any of the times and dates below, please contact Nelson Santos at nsantos@visualAIDS.org.

Processing Postcards
Starting in November -- through January 7, 2009, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Visual AIDS could use help in our office processing postcards. This means carefully handling the artwork, numbering and data entry. We are looking for people who can help out for 2-4 hours a day, once or twice a week. We are open Mon-Fri from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Installation
Thursday, January 8, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
20-30 people to help hang up postcard exhibition.

Preview
Friday, January 9, 5 to 9 p.m.
Preview Party -- set up, check in, sell raffle tickets, bartenders, crowd control, etc.

Benefit Sale
Saturday, January 10, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (event hours are 11 to 6)
We need lots of people (30-40 throughout the day) to be cashiers, art handlers, assist buyers, protect artwork, door people and control the general mayhem. Preferred shifts are split from 10:00-2:30 and 2:00-7:00, but we are happy to have you at any time or all day!

De-Installation
Sunday, January 11 or Monday, January 12, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (exact date and time to be determined)
Take down remaining postcards and clean up space.
