Question:I have failed on my current combination of Crixivan, AZT, and Delaviradine. Viral load of 200,000. I am intolerant to Ritonavir and am wondering why don't you ever see Saquinavir and Crixivan as a combination? I have tried all the "nukes" over the years as monotherapies.Dr. Torres' Response:There are some in vitro data suggesting that saquinavir and crixivan are antagonistic, thus until further clinical data are available most experts are not recommending that combination.Ramon Torres, MD |
