Chrystal was all things to Darlene
and Jimmy. Mostly, she was ready to forgive Darlene anything
because she understood the nuances of her sister's addiction.
She forgave her for not caring for baby Jimmy and in fact
took them both into her home to the point of each of their deaths.
See, Chrystal had experienced a period of street life herself
and knew that she was fortunate to have escaped.
Jimmy was as cheerful as Darlene was grumpy. Chrystal
taught them how to love each other before they died. Their
deaths left Chrystal broken hearted and broken spirited. Theirs
is a sad story. Very human and very sad.
