Don't tell Barbara that she's not tough.
She's shorter than five feet and she thinks of herself as
a giant -- she calls this photograph "Two Old Goats"!
At 62, Barbara has been living with AIDS for at least ten
years. No one could have been more shocked than she when
at age 52 she tested positive for HIV.
Not missing a beat, she told her children, her grandchildren
and her great grandchildren! And she told them to get used
to it because she was going to speak publicly about it!
Her family has seen tragedy and they have rallied to their
mother knowing that AIDS is just another of the struggles that
have made her so tough.
