Combivir (AZT/3TC)


The Details

Combivir (zidovudine/lamivudine or AZT/3TC) is a nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor used to treat HIV/AIDS. It is approved by the U.S. FDA for the treatment of HIV infection in adults and adolescents weighing 30 kg or more.

Combivir

Adult single dose: Take one tablet twice daily. Each tablet contains 300 mg of zidovudine and 150 mg of lamivudine.

Restrictions:

  • Take Combivir with or without food.
  • Always take Combivir in combination with other anti-HIV medicines.
  • Women should not breastfeed while on Combivir.
