Central Coast

  • AIDS Support Network of San Luis Obispo County
    Offers educational resources, comprehensive social services, a food pantry and HIV testing to residents of San Luis Obispo County.
  • John XXIII AIDS Ministry
    John XXIII AIDS Ministry provides housing and related services to people living with HIV. They also provide HIV education, prevention and testing, and emotional and end-of-life services to individuals and families at risk for, or living with, HIV/AIDS in Monterey and San Benito Counties, California.
  • Monterey County AIDS Project
    Offers referrals, housing programs, food pantry, transportation, counseling, testing and educational programming to residents of Monterey County.

High Sierra

  • Sierra HOPE
    Provides medication, financial assistance, benefits counseling, support groups, transportation, a food pantry, a library and education services in Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties.

San Francisco

  • AIDS Legal Referral Panel
    Provides free and low-cost legal services to people with HIV.
  • Healing Waters
    San Francisco-based organization that runs weekend outdoor adventure trips (ex. kayaking, skiing, backpacking) for a low fee to people with HIV/AIDS and their families/caregivers.

  • Laughing Stock
    Free improvisational comedy training for people living with HIV and other chronic illnesses.
  • Native American AIDS Project (NAAP)
    Provides culturally specific HIV prevention and CARE services to Native Americans in the state of California.
  • OrchidMania
    An entirely volunteer-run orchid-only greenhouse located in San Francisco. All proceeds from sales of orchid plants are donated to grassroots HIV/AIDS organizations around the world.
  • Positive Resource Center
    Offers financial and medical benefits counseling and employment services in San Francisco to people with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
  • Project Inform
    One of the oldest AIDS organizations in San Francisco. Offers research-based advocacy and client advocacy for HIV-positive women, treatment education and training services and a national treatment hotline.
  • Richmond Ermet AIDS Foundation
    Produces cabaret shows, concerts and auctions to raise money for HIV/AIDS organizations. Volunteers are needed to work at one event or on an ongoing basis.
  • San Francisco AIDS Foundation
    The largest AIDS organization in San Francisco, offering financial benefits counseling, client advocacy, housing assistance, a state hotline (English and Spanish), education and a needle exchange program in San Francisco.
  • UCSF AIDS Health Project
    Offers HIV testing, training for other HIV providers, print publications on HIV and mental health, support groups and workshops in San Francisco.
  • UCSF Community Consortium
    A San Francisco-based research organization directed at HIV care providers. Hosts conferences, conducts research and posts online clinical trial information and fact sheets.

    Provides comprehensive healthcare and social services for people with HIV/AIDS in Sacramento and Northern California.
  • Del Norte Clinics of Redding
    Provides family health and dental services regardless of the ability to pay.
  • Imperial County Public Health
    Provides medical care, case management, transportation and mental health services for the HIV positive. Also runs an early intervention program and provides personal risk reduction counseling.
  • North Coast AIDS Project
    Offers HIV education, prevention and case management.
  • Santa Cruz AIDS Project (Santa Cruz)
    Provides social work, benefits advocacy, financial assistance, food and transportation programs, legal services, housing services, therapy and support groups, education, safer sex supplies, HIV testing and needle exchange in Santa Cruz.

    Offers anonymous HIV and hepatitis C testing.
  • Sunburst Projects -- Rohnert Park (Northern California)
    Provides case management, respite care, education and prevention, mental health services and emergency financial services for families living with HIV/AIDS in Northern California. Also offers a residential summer camp for children with HIV/AIDS and various events.
  • Taylor Family Foundation -- Livermore (Central Valley-Northern California)

    Offers benefits and insurance counseling, case management, education and training, dental services, home health care assistance, public advocacy, mental health services, food pantries, print publications, housing services and work services in Los Angeles County.
  • AIDS Service Center
    Offers food distribution, education and prevention, housing assistance, transportation, HIV testing, case management, home health care, mental health services and legal assistance in Los Angeles County.
  • Andrew Escajeda Clinic (Pasadena)
    Comprehensive HIV health services.
  • Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team
    Offers free HIV testing, case management and a treatment advocacy and adherence program in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
  • Camp Pacific Heartland -- Beverly Hills

  • Heart Touch Project -- Venice
    Offers weekly massage therapy to home- or hospital-bound men, women and children in Southern California (Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange and Inland Empire Counties). Offers training for its massage therapist volunteers and seeks volunteers in many other areas.

  • Deaf AIDS Support Services at the University of California, San Francisco Center on Deafness
    Offers communication support, counseling, case management, referrals, interpreting services and an assistive listening device loan program. Most services are only available to San Francisco residents.
