I have taken the test using the oraquick advanced rapid hiv1/2 antibody test (oral swab). I thought I was sure of the negative result that I rcvd at 15 weeks post expo. But I find my self doubting, since the symptoms are more convincing.

HiThanks for the question. There are two lines on the test a "c" and a "t". If there is a line in the "c" this means the test was done correctly. The test is picking up antibodies that your body makes against HIV.... Read more »

HiFirst the guidelines for testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks post exposure then again at 90 days if this test is negative than so are you.Second, for the home test, the line in the C means the test was run correctly and no line in the T... Read more »

would an oraquick mouth swap be fairly accurate at 11 weeks past possible exposure? I know the rule is 13 weeks and will retest then, but would it actually pick up hiv in most cases by 11 weeks on an oraquick?...

HiOral test are just as accurate of blood testing and the guidelines for HIV testing are to be initially tested at 3 weeks then again at 3 months, if both of these tests are negative then so are you, as long as there were no other types of exposure... Read more »
