Can anyone advice me how to remedy this constant rash i am experiencing since i was put on above regimen 6 months ago.The ointments recommended by my Physician does eradicate the rash....

I don't have any details on that. FTC is similar to 3TC which is also now approved for once/day dosing. I appears to be = or > 3TC in potency. Long-term safety data is still limited. KH... Read more »

There seems to be some confusion about what part of Truvada might cause hair loss. I haven't seen anything that implicates FTC other than it's similarity to 3TC. In your opinion, is Viread the more likely culprit? Also, if it is more...

Of the components of Truvada, the one that is most associated with hair loss (at least anecdotally) is the tenofovir. A way of testing if that is the case would be to switch from the tenofivir/FTC combination to the abacavir/3TC combination... Read more »
