What Is Stavudine? Stavudine (Zerit) is a drug used as part of antiretroviral therapy (ART). It is manufactured by Bristol-Myers Squibb. The original patent on stavudine has expired. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved generic forms of stavudine for sale in the U.S. and under PEPFAR (see Fact Sheet 475 ). Forgot dose of stavudine (2 hours)

I forgot to take my stavudine dose on time and I ended up taking it 2 hours later. What is the probability of this causing resistance? Is there a window of time to take the missed dose that is relatively safe? Thank you....

I am on combinaation of lamivudine, stavudine and efavirenz for 10 years. I have developed suken cheeks and buffalo rumps. can i sswitch over to lamivudine, efavirenx and tenofovir?...

Generally that the switch from stavudine to tenofovir is a good move with maintenance of clinical benefit and some improvement in side effects including fat loss and other fat distribution issues. KH... Read more »

can a patient who was switched from a stavudine-based regimen to a tenofovir-based regimen go back to the stavudine-based regimen, e.g., if the tenofovir-based drug is no longer available...
