The localized nature (one side> then then other side) is unusual for the usual drug related toxic sensory neuropathy. I would get a consultation from a neurologist. Neurontin can be helpful in some cases for the symptoms but doesn't help... Read more »

I can sure tell you the WORST treatment...NARCOTICS. Their efficacy for the control of neuropathic pain is uncertain at best, and they carry a definite risk of addiction for some people, so BE CAREFUL.Assuming that the problem is truly neuropathy... Read more »
