Hello,Western Blot tests should only be run to confirm a repeatedly reactive (positive) ELISA (or EIA or rapid test). It should not be used as a diagnostic tests without a positive initial screening test, due to the possibility of false-positive or... Read more »

Hi,Yes, it's possible your Western Blot (WB) test was a false-positive, particularly if this was your only HIV test! WB tests should only be run as a confirmatory test after someone has a repeatedly reactive (positive) ELISA, EIA or rapid test.... Read more »

Pregnant / positive elisa but negative western blot (POSITIVE ELISA, NEGATIVE WESTERN BLOT, PREGNANT, 2011)
