Is neuropathy an opportunistic infection? I'm talking about HIV itself neuropathy not the one produced by medications. If it is an opportunistic infection would it appear early in hiv infection or a later stages? Thank you much....

Since you are having such prominent symptoms related to your nerves you should consider having a neurologic evaluation to delineate what exactly is going on. Many people with HIV associated neuropathy improve with antiretroviral treatment.... Read more »

How early in HIV infection does diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome ( dry eyes, dry mouth, peripheral neuropathy) could possibly occur? could it possibly appear in after 6 months of infection? Can the enlargement of parotid gland be observed...

Diffuse infiltrative lymphocytosis syndrome is not very common in HIV infection. It would be very unusual to develop within 6 months of infection-they symptoms you described can be seen often in the general population from other causes so are not... Read more »
