I am not sure why you would be given both Combivir (which is a combination pill of Retrovir and Epivir) and also Retrovir (as Retrovir is included in the combination pill). The chemical name for Retrovir is Zidovudine. If that is actually in both of... Read more »

A single drug is not adequate for post exposure prophylaxis. You should be taking at least two, but probably three. If you are only taking one take the highest possible dose, but it may not be enough. Are you seeing a physician about this? DTD... Read more »
