Atazanavir will improve lipo?

I'm writing from Brazil. I've been on Nelfinavir/3TC/AZT for 5 years now. It has been my first and only combo. My viral load was never undetectable. It's currently at 1,200 and my CD4 is 500. I've been getting very fat around...

It sounds as though your viral load has just recently become detectable at 1,200. Unless you have missed doses, or changed your schedule or regimen somehow, it is probably beginning to fail. Usually it is not a good idea to change out only one... Read more »

Low trough level Atazanavir

I have been on a combination of Atazanavir 500 mg. Ritonovir 100mg and nevirapine 400 mg for two years. Despite a consistently very low blood serum trough level for Atazanavir my viral load has remained undetectable and tcells increased by 100 to...

You are a "fast" metabolizer of atazanavir because the nevirapine is causing you to metabolize the atazanavir faster and ritonavir boosting is not able to overcome this. Sustiva and viread would probably result in the same effect. Is there a reason... Read more »
