Virus isolation if you mean by culture is not used for diagnosis or monitoring HIV infection. Viral RNA is isolated for viral load tests.... Read more »

Nothing clearly wrong. Would check the core test to see if it is core IgM or IgG since IgM would mean recent infection. If this is the case, your surface antibody should become positive.... Read more »

Not having a surface antibody result after one shot does not surprise me. I would check only after three immunizations, and only in patients whom I am concerned about a poor immune response (such as an immunocompromised patient). As for having... Read more »
