Ganciclovir usually hurts white blood cells and platelets, not red blood cells. If his white count is low, he can be supported with GCSF which stimulates the body to make more white cells, just as Procrit stimulates the body to make more red blood... Read more »

hi,you know you can have a blood test for cmv,if its not in your blood then you are ok.also cmv eye infection is only a danger with CMV IS SPOTTED STRIGHT AWAY,IT LOOKS LIKE SCRAMBLED EGGS.

Just found out I have CMV virus. Symptoms are very strong and debilitating. Dr says there is nothing he can do. Find that hard to believe. Just starting to look for info and HELP. Can anyone help me with places to get real help, not antideppressants
