Some HIV drugs can cause sores in the mouth (most often aphthous ulcers) most common with ddC. Mouth sore are common in the general population and in HIV+ persons so linking the sores to drugs can be difficult in some situations. Your HIV doc... Read more »

You desribe what sounds like aphtous ulcers which are common in the general population and more common in HIV. In the old days ddC was a common cause of that problem among HIV+ persons on that drug. The etiology is often unclear and can't be... Read more »

freak accident swallowed blood - open mouth sores draining
