Data is very limited regarding benefit to use of post exposure prophylaxis more than 72 hours after exposure (your exposure @ 60 hours still fits within standard guidelines for timing of prophylaxis. If sex worker is recently HIV- often would not... Read more »

Thanks for your questions.PEP should be started as soon as possible after sexual contact. Generally up to 36-48 hours post exposure. Since you started more than 3 days later I would probably not have recommended it. Yes, these could be side... Read more »

Your throat complaints would unlikely be due to your HIV regimen-chances to become HIV infected from 2nd condom break would likely be considerably less if you are already taking antiretrovirals. KH... Read more »
