partners having unprotected sex with different strains (SEX BETWEEN TWO HIV POSITIVE PARTNERS, 2011)

when i was diagnosed my doctor told me that i am classified as HIV strain 2 and with cd4 count of 5 as of 2007 and now 1095 of october 2010...i have a partner and the doctor told him that his HIV 1 & 2 strain and not taking medications yet...
