I'm the one who posted HIV symtoms. I did a blood test on HIV and VDRL. The result was negative for HIV and 1:16 ratio for VDRL. My doctor says this can be cured.

A VDRL test is a blood test for syphilis, and you didn't have it when you were tested. It has nothing at all to do with HIV, and HIV would not have shown up in any routine tests for STDs. To be tested for HIV in the United States requires... Read more »

There's no way to know if you're HIV+ without doing the HIV test.Having a positive VDRL (syphillis) test confirms that you had a risky exposure. I'd strongly recommend getting the HIV test as part of your health assessment.BY... Read more »


Silly me I had a fling with a guy who was HIV+ just over three months ago in the summer and there was condom use (thank god) but as his status was unknown at the time (he found out he was HIV+ only two days later and at least had the moral compass...
