Untreated, persons with HIV-2 tend to have a much slower disease progression than those infected with HIV-1.It's difficult for me to predict life expectancy for those with HIV-2 since, I'm not aware of any large studies that report this... Read more »

My question is what is the life expectancy of people with HIV-1 vs Hiv-2. I know that HIV-2 though a slower moving virus, does not work as well with medication? Have there been any studies done to show the life expectancy of both types?...
