Dear Dr. Henry, At what cd4 count level does a patient have to begin worrying about PCP and other serious OI's? Is there danger before the t-cell count falls to 200 or less(AIDS), or can danger exist with a cd4 count of 350 or 400?...

At a CD4 count of 200 or below there is increased danger for PCP and other AIDS related infections (particularly if the CD4 count is < 100). There is usually little immediate danger from AIDS related complications if the CD4 count is > 350... Read more »
