There is no hard and fast rule or cut off regarding PEP. Animal studies show the sooner the better. After 3 days or so probably no benefit. So, in reality it is impossible to say that starting at 39 hours is much worse than 36 hours.DW... Read more »

has anyone ever taken PEP. I began taking PEP 4 hrs post exposure. I was top with hiv+ guy on no meds when condom broke. i immediately washed and urinated. Has anyone had this experince? do they feel the PEP was effective? Read more »

I see New York and San Francisco have easy to get programs for PEP, but no where else is it real easy to get. With the medical proof I have read. Yep, lots of reading in the past 48 hours, it seems highly effective.
