How likely is it that an HIV test done at 3 weeks after exposure would show an infection exists? Jusdging from what Ive read it would not be very conclusive or accurate at this point in time. The problem is I have been suffering terribly not...

Tested HIV+ and 33weeks pregnant

Im 33 weeks pregnant and i recently tested positive but my partner tested negetive.My biggest concern now is should i be on any kind of medication to prevent my baby from being infected or will she be on 3 days treatment after she is born?...

I had unprotected sex with woman born with hiv 4 or 5 times on July 31st. 4 days later she told me she was born with hiv. I went to the hospital that same day and got pep and took it for a month. I stopped taking it on September 9th.

How reliable is an ELISA HIV test at 5 weeks?

How reliable is an ELISA HIV test at 5 weeks? I know that the recommended testing timeframe is 3 mos. (99.9% accurate) ... but I've also heard that most people develop antibodies by 4 weeks and would test postive then (90% is what I heard).
