There hasn't been an upper limit established for the longevity of children infected with HIV at birth. Some are already teenagers. Only time will tell.... Read more »

Great question. These antibodies do not persist after the first year of life. Therefore, there is no long term immunity or protection against HIV that is established in the child. These antibodies develop in the mother in reaction to infection.... Read more »

I had unprotected sex with a girl 4 or 5 times on July 31st. She confessed 4 days later she was born with hiv. I went to the hospital after she told me and they gave me pep.
