The lesion you describe is not classic for syphilis, which typically first causes a painless ulcer. Therefore, I would say the risk that this is syphilis is really low but given the rash and lymph node swelling later on, it is worth getting tested.... Read more »

Anybody knows how accurate it is testing for Syphilis at 1 week after exposure.. I tested negative 7 days post exposure, I didn't get the typical 'chancre', but I'm still a little concerned.. since there are rare cases where you might have it... Read more »
