Is Hepatitis C sexually tramsmitteded or on thru needles?

As an HIV person, i was also diagnosed with Hep. C, type 3, a few yrs. ago & successfully completed treatment. I never was IV drug user and recently was told that Hep C cannot be transmitted sexaully. Is that true. In short, how can on get Hep. C?
