Although it is theoretically possible that you could have another condition (a new HIV infection though that seems unlikely since you are on Complera or meningitis though the antibiotic and symptoms/scenario make both of those seem very unlikely)... Read more »

Strep throught is not related to HIV infection. It does suggest that you have had an oral exposure; but from what you have told me, I don't suspect HIV more than just a bad case of Strep.... Read more »

Strep throat (pharyngitis) is common in the general population. Generally I have not observed that HIV+ patients have any distinct problems when they develop strep throat. If the CD4 count is already low (i.e. < 250) I would have some concern... Read more »
