No that does not necessarily mean the child has HIV. Antiviral medications are given to HIV+ women before and during childbirth to help prevent transmission of HIV to the baby; and given to the baby at birth to also help prevent infection.... Read more »

I had unprotected sex with a girl 4 or 5 times on July 31st. She confessed 4 days later she was born with hiv. I went to the hospital after she told me and they gave me pep.
