Does rash always appear on the trunk of the body ? I have two large red spots, each about 2 inches wide on each side of my neck. Is this related to ARS ?Read more » rash?

I had sex with someone who had lots of red spots (the size of a coin) on his back. In the middle of each "coin" he had something that - i think - looked like a pimple. He had some on his chest as well. Is this the sort of rash that is common for HIV... Read more »

HPV infection doesn't manifest as a rash. It causes lesions or 'bumps' that you can see and feel, and often they do not go away by themselves, but grow bigger over time....

From what you described I doubt that represents an abacavir hypersensitivity reaction but still could be a localized drug rash (Sustiva can cause that too) though quite atypical. I would have an HIV experienced dermatologist take a look at it if...
