Zidovudine (Retrovir, AZT)

"Early treatment" with zidovudine was tested in people with no symptoms of HIV disease. The study showed no benefit to taking zidovudine. DO HIV carriers test negative? (I did an HIV 1&2 test which came back negative. But someone told me that I could still be a carrier. The test was done six (6) months after my last possible exposure.
