I have read that in Africa, they are saying that Nevirapine is not a safe drug for HIV. I have been taking it for over a year and I am wondering if there is any truth to this? I would appreciate any answers that you could give....

You don't mention whether or not you are giving nevirapine to the mother. If you give nevirapine to the mother at delivery, the baby should have good levels of nevirapine through at least 48 hours; you could then give another dose to the baby... Read more »

Unless there was some acute infection that required cotrimoxazole there would be no need to start that antibiotic for PCP prophylaxis with your CD4 count. That is usually reserved for people with CD4 counts < 200.... Read more »
