I have read that in Africa, they are saying that Nevirapine is not a safe drug for HIV. I have been taking it for over a year and I am wondering if there is any truth to this? I would appreciate any answers that you could give....

You don't mention whether or not you are giving nevirapine to the mother. If you give nevirapine to the mother at delivery, the baby should have good levels of nevirapine through at least 48 hours; you could then give another dose to the baby... Read more »

Interesting complaints. Mucousal complaints in the nose/eyes as the sole problem has not been a common complaint voiced by patients on either Truvada or nevirapine. That location often reflects an allergy of some sort so a good nose/eye evaluation... Read more »
