razor blade risk??

my razor blade exposed to small drop of hiv blood !!after 5 ve done water wash then i used this blade for shaving..!!!..what are the chances of contracting hiv??pls help me!!...

PLEASE HELP ME, I AM SCARED BECAUSE I USED MY ROOMMATES RAZOR RIGHT AFTER HIM AND I SOMETIMES CUT MYSELF. HE HAS ALOT OF UNPROTECTED SEX AND IS SICK ALOT. SHOULD I BE WORRIED, GET TESTED. I KNOW ITS LOW RISK BUT RISK NONETHELESS. THANK YOU....

Even if your roomate is infected with HIV, it is highly unlikely that HIV would be transmitted to you by sharing a razor. Transmission through sharing a razor is not a likely event; there is no actual evidence that HIV has been transmitted this way.... Read more »

Razor risk?

I know it is said that sharing razors is not advised. Well, my sister is a dentist and sometimes leaves her razor in our shower stall while visiting. My kids at times play in the shower and I worry about "if" they played with her razor...

I would not consider any risk in this potential exposure at all. Your sister has been tested and her risk of getting hepatitis C is low in the first place. Although we always tell people not to share razors, this route is felt to be a very low risk... Read more »

Common shaving mug and razor

Dear Mr Kull,I used someone's shaving razor and mug (for storing water and for rinsing the razor). What is the risk of HIV, given that there could have been some water left over in the mug, and I just filled it up used it to rinse the razor...

i came to know that hiv virus dies in air exposure,and if there is hiv+ some blood on razor blade or tattoo pin,how can then person be effected..and it is considered as the low risk factor???..why.
