From what you are describing I suspect that you recently acquired hepatitis B and your doctor is waiting six months to see if your hepatitis B surface antigen clears on its own. If it does, then you have cleared the infection on your own. The good... Read more »

Alcohol and hepatitis C are the worst possible combination. Alcohol by itself causes scarring of the liver. However, together with hepatitis C, the scarring is much worse. Alcohol also increases the level of virus in your bloodstream. I would... Read more »

You have hepatitis C in your blood. This only tells me that you need to have further evaluation as to whether or not you have scarring in your liver. Then treatment may be necessary. Not everyone needs treatment since not everyone develops scarring.... Read more »
