The only important information is that your CD4 T cell counts are excellent and your HCV RNA level was so low that they could not figure out what type of infection you have. That is great news because hopefully you will clear the virus on your own... Read more »

Sounds like the internal control they put into the PCR (viral load test) reaction after they got your blood, failed to work. If that known HIV copy control does not give the right copy number or no copy number, they reject the result and the sample... Read more »

Equivocal means that the band on the western blot was faintly present, but not dark enough to call positive. P18 is an antigen or part of the HIV core protein. Antibodies to this part of the virus were negative in the sample.... Read more »
