That description is so non-specific it is almost worthless. The key parameter is a transient skin rash occuring after an exposure with a risk for HIV transmission. In that setting the rash is of some help but a complete history and laboratory... Read more »

The type of rash you describe is unusual as an initial manifestation of HIV infection. However, if you have been possibly exposed to HIV, I would definitely recommend that you get tested, whether you have symptoms or not. If the exposure is recent... Read more »
